The Honor 400 duo has a lot of nice features and is now available worldwide. We'll start with the more expensive Honor 400 Pro, even though it's still up for debate whether the Honor 400 or the Honor 400 should be on everyone's shortlists.

One year after the Honor 200 Pro, the Honor 400 Pro has a design that is more durable, a better display, a more powerful chipset, and better main and zoom cameras. Naturally, this year's focus is on artificial intelligence, which Honor has taken to the next level with innovative features like Image to Video, Outpainting, Cutout background, and Open Eyes.

Indeed, the Honor 400 Pro introduces a new level of durability: it is IP68 and IP69 certified for resistance to dust, water, and high-pressure water jets. It has also scored SCS's 5 stars rating for Premium Performance Certification of Drop & Crush Resistance.

The phone has a 6.7-inch OLED display with HDR certification, a resolution of 1,280 pixels per inch, a color depth of 10 bits, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. One of the best chips on the market, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, powers the Honor 400 Pro. The Honor 400 Pro's cameras are a continuation of Honor's tradition of excellence.

The rear camera kit includes a 12MP ultrawide with autofocus, a 50MP OIS telephoto (3x-6x), and a 200MP OIS primary (1x-2x). The front setup accommodates a 50MP selfie imager and a 2MP depth sensor.

The Honor 400 Pro is not your typical smartphone with curved edges. It has glass panels and a plastic frame, and all these three elements feature subtle curvatures around the edges. This makes the phone appear thinner, makes it look better, and makes it feel better in your hand.

The manufacturer of the glass panels is unknown, but considering that the phone received five stars from SGS for its drop and shock resistance tests, we can only hope that they are as durable as the most recent Corning products. The entire piece is fingerprint-resistant thanks to the cool frosted finish on the rear glass.

The Honor 400 Pro, in addition to the drop and shock resistance, is also IP68 and IP69 rated. Dust-tightness, resistance to submersion in clean water, and endurance against heated high-pressure water jets are all reflected in these two ratings. We are pleased that the manufacturer has significantly increased the durability of the earlier Honor models, which were limited to IP65 ratings.

A 2MP depth sensor and a 50MP selfie camera are housed in the pill-shaped cutout. Honor has incorporated features and animations similar to those found in Apple's Dynamic Island around the punchhole for the selfie camera after drawing inspiration from iOS. The back of the Honor 400 Pro is all smooth glass with a giant camera housing. It has an asymmetrical shape, just like previous Honor models.

This year, it's a jutting-out trapezoid, surrounded by some glossy plastic. The primary, zoom, and ultrawide cameras are surrounded by protruding plastic rings. The phone measures 160.8 x 76.1 x 8.1 mm and weighs 205 grams, which is alright for a 6.7-incher. The Honor 400 Pro is of a solid build, no two ways about it. Additionally, the camera housing is one of a kind and has a beautiful, neat design.
