Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Phone Design

Samsung has returned to its path after a period of stagnation for a few years. This year's Galaxy Z Fold7 offers real upgrades and improvements in key areas that were lacking in the previous generations.
Because it is now significantly thinner, lighter, and makes use of a camera setup that is of a higher quality, the new Z Fold7 surpasses the competition in terms of portability as well as the quality of the camera experience. Samsung was also able to provide us with a little bit more screen real estate in the process. The outer and inner screens are now larger.
Unfortunately, the company had to sacrifice the S Pen holster and S Pen support altogether, but killed two birds with one stone this way - larger displays and a thinner profile. The Galaxy Z Fold7's overall design has not changed much. The device is very similar to its predecessors, but it's now significantly lighter and thinner.
Samsung has given the redesign a lot of thought to make it more durable, portable, and sleek. Starting with the hinge, the Z Fold7 has a new Armor FlexHinge that is designed to be smaller and more durable. With a multi-rail structure and a water droplet design, it is said to evenly distribute stress and safeguard the display's integrity. The new hinge also helps reduce the visible crease.
It's a bit hard to determine whether that last bit is true or not, but the panel does feel flatter when running fingers through the surface. But visually, it looks about the same as it did last year, and I know from experience that the crease always gets bigger over time. Therefore, perhaps it is time to stop worrying about the crease.

According to Samsung's claims, the new design necessitates more aggressive bending of the display. As a result, the display uses ultra-thin glass that is 50% thicker and more durable. It's complemented by a grade 4 titanium lattice. Despite this, Samsung asserts that the display package as a whole is now thinner.
The result is 4.2mm thickness when unfolded (down from 5.6mm), 8.9mm thickness when folded (down from 12.1mm) and a 24-gram reduction in weight (now 215 grams). Those figures are well within the range of a standard, non-bendable smartphone. Indeed, the Galaxy Z Fold7 feels like a typical smartphone when held in the hand.
The more expansive cover display now has a more pleasant aspect ratio and further enhances the feel of using a standard smartphone when folded. We just wish the two pointy edges next to the hinge were smoother, but you can't have it all.
The camera bump is now more apparent due to the thinner body. It protrudes a lot, and when you place the phone on a flat surface, it wobbles. The wobble will probably be lessened or eliminated if the phone is paired with a case. The foldable comes in three colors - Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow and Jet Black.
Mint is a color that is only available online. Our review unit is the Blue Shadow variant. Overall, we give Samsung an A+ rating for the Z Fold7 this year because it is a step in the right direction and can now compete with rivals in terms of design.
